Ariel & Maxime’s wedding at Terminal City Club in Downtown Vancouver was a celebration of a unique love story that blossomed during the covid pandemic. Ariel’s side from across the states and Maxime’s from Quebec got acquainted in the elegant and sophisticated ballroom of the historic Terminal City, circa 1892.
This bilingual wedding started off at the Fairmont Waterfront before heading to the venue for the ceremony followed by portraits at the iconic Marine building, a landmark Art Deco skyscraper. It was completed in 1930 and at the time of its construction was the tallest building in the British Empire.
The building's design was influenced by the ocean and features nautical themes such as seahorses, shells, and crabs. The exterior is clad in glazed terra cotta tiles in shades of green, blue, and gold, which shimmer in the sunlight - a perfect spot for sunny, wedding day portraits.
We continued to take photos around Coal Harbour before making our way back to Terminal City for the reception. The next couple hours were filled with introductions, laughs, hugs and speeches. Then the dance floor kicked off and the lighting was superb! I loved working with the array of colours flickering across the dance floor.
This was a fun one, hope you enjoy the photos!
